Wie La Quadrature du Net berichtet, unterzeichnete heute eine Delegation der EU das umstrittene Anti-Piraterie-Abkommen ACTA.
Nachdem es in den letzten Tagen in Polen und Österreich zunehmende Proteste gegen die Unterzeichnung gegeben hatte, zeigt dieser Schritt die Verhandlungsbereitschaft der beteiligten Regierungen.
Noch besteht Hoffnung, denn das EU-Parlament und die nationalen Parlamente können das ACTA-Abkommen noch ablehnen. Der Digitale Gesellschaft e.V. ruft zusammen mit seinen europäischen Partnern dazu auf, EU-Abgeordnete an ihre Verantwortung zu erinnern, sich für unsere Bürgerrechte und den europäischen Binnenmarkt einzusetzen und mit “Nein” zu stimmen.
